Overall, the Consortium now has:
A) 29 truck-mounted rigs with pull-back from 7 to 56 tons. These allow us to cover a drilling depth range of between 100 and 1,200 meters.
B) 54 rigs on cat-track trailer with pull-back from 4 to 30 tons. These allow us to cover a drilling depth range of between 60 and 600 meters
C) 10 skid-mounted rigs with pull-back from 30 to 50 tons. These allow us to cover a drilling depth range of between 200 and 1,000 meters.
D) 24 percussion rigs with average pull-back of approx. 30 tons . These are normally used for drilling large diameter wells (up to 1,200 mm) and to depths of approx. 150 meters. For the insertion and extraction of casing, hydraulic swivel clamps are used that can reach pull-back in the order of 200 tons and rotation speeds of up to 60,000 kgm
The drilling rigs listed under points A) B) C) above are equipped to work with direct circulation of mud or air, using respectively the mud pumps or air compressors described above.
The drilling rigs with more than 20 tons’ pull-back can all be used for reverse circulation drilling, large diameters (1,200 mm ) and to reach medium depths (400-600 meters).
